HISTORY OF ENGLAND

 The history of England dates back to prehistoric times, with evidence of human habitation as far back as 800,000 years ago. The first known civilization in England was that of the Celts, who arrived around 500 BC. They were later conquered by the Romans in AD 43, who established a province called Britannia.
